Product Safety Coordination Services
As a manufacturer of electronic
products, it is always important to understand that, for most electronic
products, in order to have products CE Marked, you not only have to meet the
"CE Mark EMC Directive" requirements, but all you have to meet the "Safety Low
Voltage Equipment Directive" requirements.
In our experience, we have identified
that the most practical and economic way for you to the "Safety Low Voltage
Equipment Directive" is to get a CB Scheme Report as well as a CB Scheme
Certificate from a Safety Agency such as UL, CSA, NEMKO, TUV or INTERTEK.
The CB Scheme Report/Certificate issued by a Safety Agency will be sufficient
to support your own "Declaration of Conformity" to European "CE Mark"
requirements.
Meanwhile, even though it is not al
legal requirement to have your products UL or CSA listed in the US/Canada, it
is generally requested by the buyers in the US/Canada to see your products
bearing either UL or CSA Mark. These Safety Marks will give you so much
market niche and they will assist you in selling your products in the
US/Canada.
Acme Testing Co. has developed a close
relationship with several Safety Agencies including UL, CSA, NEMKO, TUV and
INTERTEK. We communicate with these Safety Agencies in a effective way
that you may find our coordinating services helpful to you.
