Harry H. Hodes “wears two hats” at Acme Testing Co.  Specifically, he is both the President/CEO, and, the Principal EMC Engineer at Acme Testing Co.

 

As the President/CEO of Acme Testing Co., Mr. Hodes is responsible for the overall conduct of Acme Testing’s business.  His duties include both business management and technical management.  Specifically, he is responsible for: the direction of all corporate financial activities (including cash flow management, budgeting, and financial performance analysis), the direction of the corporate sales and marketing efforts, setting the Quality System policies, planning the purchases of capital equipment/facilities, negotiating and reviewing contracts and proposals, monitoring the status of ongoing EMC testing and Product Safety testing operations, and, monitoring the status of ongoing documentation efforts.  In addition, he represents Acme Testing Co.’s interests through participation in various Professional and Trade Organizations (e.g. IEEE EMC Society, American Council of Independent Laboratories [ACIL], US Council of EMC Laboratories [USCEL], the USA Telecommunications Certification Body [TCB] Council, and the European Union Radio & Teleterminal Equipment Compliance Association [RTTE CA]).

John L. Griffin  is responsible for the overall management of the operations of the Laboratory, including Sales and Marketing activities.  He is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with our services.  As the Vice President/General Manager, John is designated deputy to the President/CEO in the President's absence.

Jim Ericson is our Quality System Manager/Senior EMC Engineer has over twenty years experience in the U.S. and overseas with Semiconductor manufacturer, Philips. Jim has developed a strong Quality Control background through his experiences in senior engineering, manufacturing, and quality control positions. Jim performs EMC Emissions and Immunity test for customers as needed.  In his role as Quality System Manager, Jim reviews appropriate information to ensure the Equipment Manuals, Calibration Records and Document Control Records are up to date and advises all staff of relevant changes. He is back up to Principal EMC Engineer and/or the Lab Operations Manager (in their absence). Jim implements and administers the Quality System, conducts self-audits per the ISO/IEC standard 17025, ISO 9001:2000, and EN 45001, plans and monitors the technical operation department's calibrations, training, technical performance assessments, and periodic confidence checks systems.  Jim is responsible for advising  the President of conditions adverse to quality and proposes corrective actions. Administrative Staff

 Shawntel Griffin is working as an Administrative Department Manager/Financial Controller.  She also prepares Final EMC Test Reports for review by the technical staff following completion of testing.  Shawntel coordinates lab time, compiles quotations, provides shipping and receiving services and generally ensures that customer needs are fulfilled in a professional and timely manner by the staff. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office including booking customer test time, prioritizing projects and tracking work. In her role as Financial Controller, Shawntel is responsible for all aspects involving the accounting at Acme Testing including payroll, invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable processing.
